The Founders Holiday Ice Rink promises to be an essential holiday tradition. Whether skating or watching while enjoying a hot chocolate, the rink’s operating hours will allow everyone to enjoy the experience.

Q: Where is Founders Holiday Ice Rink?
A: Rock Hill’s open-air ice rink is in the heart of Old Town across from Fountain Park. Fountain Park is surrounded by Saluda and East Main Streets.
Q: What are the dates of Skating on the Square?
A. Saturday, November 20 - January 10.
Q. What are the hours?
A. Primarily, hours are as follows: Monday-Thursday: 3- 9 pm; Fridays: 3 –11 pm; Saturdays: 10 am – 11 pm; and Sundays: 12-9 pm. Open times vary during school holidays and on official holidays.
Q: How much does it cost to skate?
A: The cost for admission is $10 per person. This price includes the skate rental. Groups of 15 or more people receive a 20% discount making it $8 per person.
Q: What if my child (or myself!) can't skate after paying, can we get a refund?
A: We're sorry, but we cannot offer refunds.
Q: What size skates are available?
A: Skates are available from child size 9 up to adult size 12. Skate sizes will not always match shoe sizes. Our employees will help you figure out what size you need. Socks (not footies) are required to skate.
Q: Can I bring my own skates?
A: Yes, but the admission price is the same.
Q: What if I just want to watch - and not skate?
A: There's definitely no charge to watch! We encourage watching! There's room to stand all along the rink to watch.
Q: How should I dress?
A: Here in Rock Hill, you know we can have some 70+ degree days in November/December. But even if it's cold, we recommend wearing gloves - because the ice is COLD if you should fall. Please remember to wear socks.
Q: Is there a place to store my personal belongings?
A: Founders Holiday Ice Rink does not have any storage for personal belongs so please plan for your own needs. Your shoes will be held in exchange for rental skates.
Q: Are there restrooms available?
A: Yes, however you MUST REMOVE YOUR SKATES before going to the restroom.
Q: Will the rink close due to rain, snow, warm temperatures or other inclement weather?
A. Safety is our top priority. If conditions become unsafe due to rain or snow, or even unseasonably warm temperatures, we may need to close the rink. Any such closure will be announced on our Facebook page.
Q: Where should I park when visiting Founders Holiday Ice Rink?
A: There are hundreds of parking spaces available within one to two blocks of the ice rink in the Black Street parking lot and deck and along Main and Hampton Streets.
Q: What is the ice rink's capacity?
A: Approximately 120 skaters can be on the ice.

Offering the ideal winter wonderland escape for lunch breaks, date nights, play dates and family outings, the outdoor venue boasts healthy fun for every age and skate size.
